Tutu's, Puppies and Baby-Proofing!

I totally forgot to add pictures to the previous post!  See the mom-itis is affecting me too!

We are going swimming with our friends this Sunday and since it's Avery's first time swimming (other than in the bathtub) then we HAD to go get her a cute new swimsuit.  We found this adorable pink one that looks like a tutu at my new favorite children's consignment shop.  Its OK to shop A LOT if you are shopping at a consignment store, right? :-)
Have i mentioned how fun it is to shop for a little girl yet???!!!!

And here is a picture of Avery and our dog Marley i took with my phone.  How cute is that!  Marley is SO interested in Avery and is always wanting to lick her, be right next to her and see what she is doing, but if you will notice to the far right of the picture, our other dog Macy could care less about Avery.  She is not impressed at all with this new "thing" that is at our house now. HA!

And lastly here is a video of Avery trying to scoot around.  She is definitely moving now but isn't going too far yet........but its only a matter of time.  Reminds me I need to baby-proof the house!

Mom-itis

That's right, Avery had caught mom-itis.  She is obsessed with her mommy.  If i am anywhere near her and am not the one holding her then she goes crazy.  She only settles down if I take her- which makes getting anything done lately completely impossible.  Last night she woke up hysterical at 2 AM (she usually sleeps until 6AM) and Matt went to try to calm her back to sleep (what a good daddy!) and she kept fussing for like 20 min and then i went in and took her and she calmed down immediately and fell back asleep.  And i know you might be thinking "aww, thats cute- she loves her mom" and thats what i thought too at first but now its starting to get a little old- mommy needs her rest too!  Hopefully this is just a (short) phase!
On a happier note- Avery is starting to scoot around on her belly.  She is getting so mobile and constantly rolling over and scooting everywhere.  And as happy as i am that she is getting stronger I don't know if i am ready for her to be scooting or crawling anywhere yet!  She is going to be very hard to keep up with once that day comes!

Jump, Jump, Jump Around

Avery is loving her Baby Einstein Exer-Saucer.  She can push off the ground and it bounces her up and down, and there are toys all around it that keep her entertained for a long time.  She just sits in that thing and bounces away......its so great!  And it gives mommy time to make dinner, wash bottles, or even got to the bathroom!!

She gets it from her Momma!

I know i already posted an "Avery talking" video but they are just too funny that i had to post another one.  She is VERY vocal for a 4 month old (thats right she turned 4 months old this past Monday!).  My mom said i was exactly the same way- started vocalizing really early and then started talking early.  Then i progressed to talking all the time and then talking for both of my sisters.  My mom would say "Jessica what do you want for lunch?" and i would say "She wants PB&J" HAHAHA- poor Allison and Jessica never got a chance to talk!  I imagine Avery is going to be the exact same way.

Here are some pictures that were taken on Avery's 4 month old birthday.  I know i am obsessed with the big bows but I just can't help it.  I love them!  And i figure i better take advantage of being able to put them in her hair now because soon she will probably rip them out. She has really grown so much this past month and is starting to get really active.  She is so much fun and is always laughing and smiling at everyone.  We are so blessed!

Talkin' to her mommy

Over the weekend Avery has learned to "talk" and by talk i mean make this really loud high-pitched screaming sound.   She just looks right at you and starts making these serious faces and makes the loudest screaming noise.  She really thinks she is talking and it is SO funny.
I was able to catch her doing it this morning- but excuse the video quality because i took it with my cell phone camera.

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Here is the video i promised of Avery rolling over- she is getting really good at it and does it so quickly now that it was hard to catch on video!!!

Exer-Saucer

Yep I am totally addicted to my daughter but she is so freakin' cute that I can't help it and it is truly amazing how much she has grown and how big she has gotten in the past month alone.  Her head control is getting so good that she can now sit in her Bumbo chair without her head bobbing like a bobble-head doll.  She is rolling over (video to come...), laughing out loud, and now reaching for objects which of course all go directly into her mouth.  She is really developing a little personality and I could not be any more in love!

"Mom, please get that camera out of my face- I am working on rolling over here!"

Her first time in the Baby Einstein Exer-saucer.   She really liked pushing herself up and down but didn't really play with the toys on it yet.  I think in a few more weeks this is going to be her new favorite toy.

Hotel Winston

Last week Grandpa Bob came to visit us.   He even babysat Avery all day one day- what a good grandpa!  He took us out for some nice dinners and we all had such a good visit.  Also Uncle Eric and Aunt Jenny came in town to celebrate Jenny's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT JENNY!) and we all went out to eat on Friday night.  It was really fun but as you will see from the pictures, all the excitement totally pooped Avery out-poor baby!

This is how i found them when i came home from work on Thursday- so cute!

ROCK STAR!!!!

Two peas in a pod

Us out to dinner.  Check out Avery- she just pooped out.  Also Eric got a cute new haircut- he looks so handsome!!

A little family pic

I usually can't catch her smiling this big on camera.  Isn't this the perfect picture?  Doesn't get much better than this.  Also she is wearing the shirt that Grandpa got her that says GRANDPA'S LITTLE PRINCESS.  Such a perfect picture!

Who knew a little baby could be so entertaining.......

The Winston Boys (minus Drew) and the new little Winston girl

And here is our newest Winston addition- Aunt Jenny- that's right her and Eric just got ENGAGED!!!!  YAY!!!!  We are so thrilled and love her so much!

Eric was determined to make Avery walk........ummm she is only 3 1/2 months old but nice try.

We have had such a fun past couple of weeks with all the family that has come to visit.  We had such a good time visiting with everyone and wanted to say thank you again to all of you who made the trip to Florida to see us.   Your love and support mean the world to us and we can't thank you enough.  Thanks again you guys- we love you and miss you already!

cleaning out my cell phone pics

I just transferred all of my pics and videos from my cell phone onto the computer.  Some of them are pretty funny so i thought i would share.

I wish i was this comfortable when i slept-she was about a month and half here

Bath time- she was about 2 months old in this pic

The Blue Steel stare

awwww, she loves her mommy!

our little princess

This was taken when my sister Allison was here and we took Avery to South Beach.  I guess she wasn't too impressed.....

She looks tiny when her Uncle Eric holds her

This was taken on Father's Day

HAHA- i was trying to take a pic to send to Uncle Eric to show him that she can finally fit into the Nike outfits he got her but she was not having it.

My baby girl- love the big bows!

This was taken yesterday while were shopping with grandpa- she was SO tired but trying so hard to stay awake.  She hates to miss anything.......alot like her momma!

I always go and check on her while she is sleeping and she if often just laying here like this playing with her feet and looking around- such a good baby!

She's a Winston alright!

We went to Avery's 4 month old doctors appointment today (she's not quite 4 months yet so we were a little early) .  She now weighs 14 lb 5 oz and it 25 and 3/4 inches long.  She is in the 90th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height!  She must inherit her height from Matt's side of the family because she sure is tall!  The doctor was impressed with how tall she is and all the motor milestones that she has met.  She is doing great and growing FAST!!!

Good Things Come in Threes

They say that good things come in threes- well i definitely believe it! On July 1st Avery discovered where her feet are (and is obsessed with them now!), learned how to roll over and lastly learned how to laugh out loud-all in the same day!   The sound of her laugh is the greatest sound on earth! We tried to catch her laughing on video and it worked a little bit- the guy talking is Matt's brother Kyle- she thought he was hilarious!

Here she is right before she rolled over

And this was after- we all started cheering and it scared her-haha!

4th of July

Grandma, Papa John and Uncle Kyle came to visit us this past week and we had a blast!  We went to a Marlins game, the Hard Rock Casino, shopping for dream cars with Papa John and to the Miami Seaquarium.  It was so fun to see Grandma again and for Avery to meet her Papa John and Uncle Kyle.  We miss them already and they just left today!!!!

The whole crew (besides mommy!)

The proud grandparents!

Avery loved her Papa John!!!

On the 4th of July we all went to the Miami Seaquarium.  It was so much fun and Avery did so good- she really seemed to love looking at everything!

 "Daddy what is that?"

Posing with the sea lion statue
