So I thought I was being a smart thoughtful momma and I taught Avery how the traffic lights worked. Meaning that red means stop and green means go. Thought I was teaching her colors, actions, etc. right? Wrong! Apparently I was teaching her to be the worlds worst backseat driver. If I don't immediately gun it when the light turns green she will start to yell "GO!!!!!" "Mom just GO!!!!!" Sounds sort of funny and cute right? Well imagine how many lights you go through on just a standard run to the grocery store. She also has commentary for every situation "It's OK to go because its green" "Mom I cannot see the light Oh No!!!!!" and she obviously doesn't understand the meaning of a green or red arrow because if I have a red arrow and the other lights are green I will get a barrage of "why didnt you go? It was green" comments. Makes for a really long ride home. So the moral of the story is DO NOT teach your kids about the traffic lights. You will regret it I promise.

"Me a bossy driver????? Thats a lie.....just look at how cute I am."
So as I was looking for pictures for my "Love Is...." post on Valentines Day I came across a few winners

This is most likely A Kappa date party circa 2002. Apparently sombreros were in style.....

Hahaha. I have no idea but this picture is so funny to me. Luckily I didn't have a digital camera for our freshman year or our year at the Kappa house because evidence of those years could be pretty dangerous......

Only my sister Jessica would want to put a lifejacket on her 200 lb mastiff. And really I think thats a kid lifejacket with like a 50-75 lb weight limit so if the dog, who obviously doesn't know how to swim, hence the lifejacket, were to start drowning I am not sure that lifejacket would do too much. Makes for a funny photo op though :-)
And there is this picture. I honestly do not remember this at all. Where were we? When was this? When did we go here? I can not recall the last time I rode a rollercoaster (most likely because I have been in some form of pregnant over the past 5 years). But it looks like we had a good time............I guess............
Going through old pictures is hilarious and I think I want to do a post like this more often and post those oldies but goodies and remember what life was like before I knew how a breastpump worked and my life revolved around nap schedules. And if not for that then just for the laughs I get out of seeing everyone. Now if only I had a scanner I would have some really good ones from high school and those early college days! Ah the possibilities would be endless!
