Texas Trip July 2009- Part 1

I started this post a LONG time ago and was meaning to go back and edit it but then due to the events of the past few weeks I never got around to it- so although our trip to Texas was almost a month ago now I am going to go ahead and post it now...........

The first leg of our trip was flying from Fort Lauderdale into Dallas and then immediately driving to my parents lakehouse at Lake Brownwood. It was a looooong day of traveling but it was so nice to arrive at the lake and RELAX!!!
The bad part is that the day we arrived in Texas Avery started getting sick. Like really yucky sick with the constant running nose, cough and goopey eyes. We ended up leaving the lake a day early so we could drive into the minor ER in Midland to get Avery seen and get her started on some meds. Sure enough she had 2 eye infections, left ear infection, and an upper respiratory infection. I swear we are only sick when we come to Texas!!!

The girls relaxing the morning after we got there. They LOVED the hammock!

My mom got this adorable pool that squirted water out of these inflatable flowers- they loved it!

Thank You

We just wanted to say Thank You to everyone for all the flowers, texts, messages, emails and prayers. We are overcome with all the support and can't say Thank You enough.
We are all doing well and each day is a little bit better. We actually left the house today for a little outing and although it was challenging it was good for us to leave the little "bubble" we created for ourselves at the house.
Thank You all so much for your love and support.

Very Sad Day

I just wanted to avoid the awkwardness and tell you all that we lost the baby yesterday.

It is a very rare occurance because we have seen and heard the heartbeat, which usually decreases the miscarriage risk, but sometime in the last 2-3 weeks the baby stopped growing and the heartbeat stopped. Its also rare because i have not had any symptoms of cramping or bleeding, and my body allowed the pregnancy to continue for 12+ weeks, which is also uncommon. I am scheduled fro surgery today.

This is a very hard time and we are clinging to our faith. We realize that God works for a reason, and that this happens for a reason, but it is still very hard. Please do not feel the need to call because it is a hard situation and there are no words that can be said right now to make it better. Please just pray for our family. Thank you for your support.

XOXO
Nicole, Matt & Avery
