Gracyn: "I been to this store before."
Me: "oh yeah how do you know that?"
Gracyn: "because I know everything, you silly"

Uh oh. We are in trouble with this one ;-)

Only-Child (Just For A Day)

While Avery has been at VBS this week, Gracyn has gotten a little taste of what it's like to be the only child.  And Mommy has been trying her best to spoil my little one rotten while I have her all alone.  On Monday Gracyn chose to go swimming and then play "dwess up and make up" until it was time to pick up Avery.  Too bad I didn't get a picture of that.....

Then today right after we dropped Avery off we went to grab some breakfast at Starbucks before we headed to Color Me Mine for one of their Paint Me a Story days.

disclaimer- she obviously did not ride in the front seat, but we got there early and I let her goof around for a bit up front before we went inside.

The theme of today's story was 4th of July so we read a little book about the 4th of July, talked about all the fun things that we get to do on 4th of July, and then got down to the real reason we came.....the painting!

They had a little "model" plate for us to use so we could try to make our plate similar.  Gracyn actually did a pretty good job and was careful to get it "perfectly perfect."

The plate has her footprint and thumbprints as part of the background and it turned out so cute.

We painted all the basic aspects and then the CMM people are going to spruce it up with fancy lettering and extra details, and then we get to pick it up in a week!  Can't wait to see the finished product!
So much fun pampering and spending time with my littlest one!

Winston Update- June 2013

We are all still here and doing great!  We are getting settled into the new house (pictures to come) and having fun soaking up the relaxed pace of summer.

We had our 20 week sonogram (20 week bump pic below!) and everything is looking great with Baby Boy Winston.  We feel so grateful for his growth and health.

and I think I have two big sisters who will be very eager to meet their little brother in just a few short months!

Gracyn has been growing at a seemingly rapid rate lately.  She just tries so hard to keep up with Avery and all the other 5 year olds, that she seems so much older than 2 1/2.  She is officially sleeping in a full-size big girl bed and is doing awesome.  She is my little fashionista and gives me a hard time most mornings about wearing a "spinning dress" every.single.day.  She is a barrel of laughs and so much fun to be around.

Matt has been home since May and we have enjoyed getting to take fun family day trips to the wildlife refuge and the lake.  The girls are really starting to perfect their sandcastle making skills.

Here is my 22 week bump.  I feel bad for not consistently blogging about this pregnancy but such is the life of a third child I guess.  But I have been feeling great.  We are all feeling the baby move and kick as he is super active.  I love feeling his little kicks.  Its such a strange, amazing feeling.  I am slowly starting to work on a nursery but adjusting to a boy color scheme is definitely a change.

Avery has been going to vacation bible school this week and she just seems so big to me right now!  She is so smart and is constantly asking me questions, that I often don't know the answer to ("Mommy to crabs have teeth?").  But she is so fun and Daddy has been prepping her to become the next NFL scout by showing her how to work the binoculars.  We love summertime so much!

San Antonio Trip (last post, I swear)

Sorry for all the broken San Antonio posts but this is the last one.  I had a few days and nights where I didn't want to lug my big camera around so I used the Iphone and wanted to include all the pics for our memory-making later on.

We spent so much family pool time together the week we were in SA and it was such a blast and the girls were such little fishies by the time we left.

And we even got to spend one pool day with our friends the Sara's who were in town also!  So fun to see friends on vacation.

One night we went the Riverwalk to walk around and eat dinner.  The girls almost fell in the water about 500 times, but we made it safely home afterward ;-)

This pic way taken on our way to Sea World- yippeee!

Obviously we have such a great time in San Antonio and enjoy every second of all the family time we get to have.  Can't wait to go again next year, as a family of FIVE!

The Compound in College Station

Right after we left San Antonio for our family vacation we headed to College Station for Uncle Kyle's high school graduation. It was a full house with the whole family in town and it was such a blast! I can't remember the last time we where all in the same place at the same time and we took full advantage of all the family time we could.

Uncle Eric and Jackson- Jackson gave the girls a little taste of what life with a little boy will be like and they loved every second of chasing after him!

The brothers

Uncle Drew loving on Avery (we missed you Aunt Katie!!)

Julie and Gracyn snuggling up

We took advantage of everyone being in the same place with a little photo session.  Definitely some framers in this group!  Can't wait to do it all again, hopefully soon!

Family Vacation 2013

Right after school got out we packed up and headed out to San Antonio, which is the same family vacation we took last year, and we had such a great time we decided to do it all over again!

We stayed at the beautiful gorgeous JW Mariott in San Antonio and once again were impressed with the beautiful amenities.

They have a few different pools, slides, and kids splash park so we swam our little hearts out.

One day we left our fabulous hotel to go to Sea World.  We had a great time and the girls loved the shows so much.

We were lucky enough to get to go backstage again and see our friends the beluga whales (thanks to our trainer friend Meagan!) and the girls got to meet a few of them face to face!

We had such an amazing trip to San Antonio and can't wait to go back again next year!
