We are in the new house! Thank Goodness!!!! Boy am I glad to be back in my own bed, with my own shower and my own space again! Moving is such a endless process though, and although the organizer in me is loving getting to purge the old and re-organize the remaining stuff, it is totally wearing me out!
Things are coming together really well though. Avery's room was the first one done, of course, because I wanted her to feel settled and feel safe sleeping in her room. And she actually has done a pretty good job. The first night she woke up a little bit scared at about 1AM and ended up sleeping with me, but the rest of the nights she has made it through the night seemlessly in her own bed. Also sidenote, her bed is converted to the toddler bed and I have had rails on it up until now and for some reason I just wanted to see what would happen without the rails and Voila! She hasn't rolled out of bed yet, and she loves being able to get in and out so much easier! It's weird to see her bed without rails through because it makes her look so grown up!!!
I really like our new house. It has some really cool features (outdoor balcony/patio off the master), but it also has some really odd features too (no food pantry....currently our food is in a hall closet.......weird). But I think its going to be really good for us. It's in a more family-friendly town with fabulous schools and I am really looking forward to getting involved here and hopefully finding Avery some new friends.
One downfall of the new casa is its really really far from my current job. But I knew that when we started looking at houses. It takes me between an hour and and hour and a half to get to work. Yikes. I am planning on continuing the commute at least until the baby comes in October and then we will see how things go after that. I am sure October will be here before we know it.
Speaking of October, the pregnancy is going really well. I was not doing a very good job of staying hydrated plus I was stressing about finding a new house so a few weeks ago I wasn't feeling too hot, but I have made a huge effort to chill out and drink loads of water so thankfully we are feeling a lot better. Honestly the last few weeks have been so crazy I barely have time to remember that I am pregnant. I am looking forward to things settling down and getting to stop and enjoy the end of this pregnancy. Avery is getting really excited about the baby and I am having a hard time explaining to her that the baby won't be here for another 3 months, but she doesn't seem to care. She is excited regardless. I can't wait to see her with her sister.
Sorry I don't have any pictures but we don't have our wireless internet hooked up yet (they come Wednesday!) so I am writing this off Matt's work computer, which does not support our photo software. As I said before I am really looking forward to gettting our internet back so I can keep up with blogging more. I really wanted to do a better job tracking this pregnancy so hopefully I can make it all up at the end! I promise I have lots of good posts coming up soon- the baby's name, new house pictures, Avery's singing talents, and lots of cute ones of the little princess.
